Regional Roadshow 2024
Bridging Transparency:
Empowering Local Voices in Natural Resource Governance

In 2024, the Philippine Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (PH-EITI) is set to redefine its commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive participation in the extractive sector. Since its inception in 2013, PH-EITI has aligned with the global EITI framework, becoming part of a community of over 50 countries focused on setting the standard for governance in mining, oil, and gas. Through annual roadshows and national conferences, PH-EITI has provided comprehensive insights into the extractive sector’s landscape, facilitating meaningful dialogues among stakeholders such as local governments, civil society organizations, and impacted communities.
This year, PH-EITI will resume face-to-face regional roadshows under the theme “Bridging Transparency: Empowering Local Voices in Natural Resource Governance,” aiming to amplify local communities’ voices and strengthen the connection between national policy and local realities. With civil society organizations playing a key role, these roadshows will emphasize equitable benefits and sustainable resource management, ensuring that natural resource governance reflects the collective will of the Filipino people.
