We are pleased to announce the official commencement of the FY 2024 PH-EITI Reporting Cycle. While the FY 2023 Reporting Cycle was recently launched in November 2024, the PH-EITI Multi Stakeholder Group (MSG), after careful deliberation, has decided to proceed with the FY 2024 cycle starting this January 2025. This concurrent approach offers significant benefits for both reporting companies and stakeholder.

By aligning the timelines of the FY 2023 and FY 2024 reporting cycles, we aim to streamline the reporting process. This step-up enables companies to complete the required documentation for both years simultaneously, thereby reducing administrative burdens. To support this effort, the updated Online Reporting in Extractive (ORE) tool will be utilized for both cycles, ensuring an efficient data submission process with just one training session required. 

This dual-cycle approach will also allow us to close the reporting gap, providing stakeholders with current and accurate data. Access to timely information is crucial for informed decision-making and advancing transparency and accountability in natural resource governance.

To ensure a seamless reporting process, data submission for this year’s reporting will be div into two parts: 

1. Submission of required legal documents 

What’s new: The reporting entity may accomplish the follow 
One (1) BIR Taxpayer’s or BO waiver covering FY 2023 and FY 2024 
One (1) Secretary Certificate for BIR and for BO covering FY 2023
and FY 2024 
One (1) Politically Exposed Person (PEP) Declaration Form covering FY 2023 and FY 2024

  • Submit original, signed, and notarized copies of the BIR/Taxpayer’s Waiver
  • BIR Secretary’s Certificate 
  • Notarized Company Waiver: Disclosure of BO Declaration
    to PH EITI
  • Notarized Secretary’s Certificate for BO documents 
  • Politically Exposed Person (PEP) Declaration Form: Beneficial Ownership
  • Beneficial Ownership Declaration Form

2. Data entry in the Online Reporting in the Extractives
(ORE) Tool

  • Input, review, and submit required EITI data

Upload all necessary documents, such as Schedules of Payments, Audited Financial Statements, and Supporting Documents for reconciliation (e.g., official receipts, and proof of payment). 

Note:

*The schedule for ORE tool data entry will be announced separately due to ongoing system development.
 
All steps outlined in the PH-EITI reporting process are mandatory and carry equal significance for full compliance. Meeting submission deadlines and completing all requirements are critical as entities that fail to comply fully or submit after the specified deadline will be classified as non-participats in the PH-EITI.
