Building on more than a decade of advancing good governance in the extractive sector, the Philippine Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (PH-EITI) continues to champion transparency, accountability, and inclusive participation across the mining, oil, and gas industries. Since its establishment in 2013, PH-EITI has served as a vital platform for making extractive sector data accessible and meaningful, publishing ten country reports covering eleven fiscal years and shedding light on government revenues from natural resources. As part of a global movement spanning over 50 countries, PH-EITI upholds the highest international standards to ensure that the management of the country’s extractive resources contributes to sustainable and equitable development.
As PH-EITI moves beyond its 10th anniversary, the 2025 Extractives Transparency Week (ETW) marks a renewed commitment to translating transparency into tangible outcomes for communities and future generations. Anchored on the theme “Extracting Better Futures: Amplifying Stakeholder Voices Towards Inclusive Development,” ETW 2025 convenes government, industry, civil society, communities, and development partners for a week of dialogue, learning, and collaboration in Manila. Through plenaries, parallel sessions, and interactive discussions, the event seeks to elevate diverse perspectives—particularly those of Indigenous Peoples and local communities—strengthen multi-stakeholder partnerships, and generate actionable insights that advance sustainability, equity, and shared prosperity in the extractives sector.
